Types Of Applications
There are many types of applications on the market today that need to be given three phase power to run properly. There are certain things that need to be defined when determining which phase converter will be good for your type of application. One of the things necessary is to determine what load type you have on your equipment. Loads are determined by four different categories which include inductive, resistive, CNC or motor type loads. If it is a motor type load, you must determine if it is a 1, 2, 3 or 4 type. Applications for phase converters can also be used with a mixed load. This means that you can run motor loads with resistive and or inductive loads which is a type 5 on the same phase converter at the same time. The only application that should be run on it's own separate phase converter would be a CNC application load. They are not meant to run other equipment with it as they tend to get static and vibrations from the other machinery that is around it.
